20 slides. 20 seconds per slide. A few minutes to tell a story. During Pitch it, ten sustainable construction players in Brussels took on this synthesis exercise inspired by Pecha Kucha. From September, you will be able to discover their talks on video, gradually published on ecobuild.brussels channels.
The principle is simple: each speaker has 20 images that advance automatically every 20 seconds to share their story. No long presentations, no detailed demonstrations. Just a few minutes to convey an idea, an experience, a vision or a question currently running through the sustainable construction sector.
How can an energy renovation be made acceptable to an entire co-ownership? How do you choose a material based on more than a catalogue? What role can robotics play on construction sites? How can innovation, technical constraints and economic realities be reconciled? These are some of the questions that shaped the discussions during Pitch it. Behind each presentation was a concrete issue encountered in the field, and a specific way of responding to it.
For this edition, ten players from the Brussels ecosystem took part in the exercise: Compatibuild, ACL Architect, Materiatek, CERAA, Gemelio, Les Suspendus, Light to Light, DDS+, Atelier DEV and Brubotics.
Across the talks, different facets of the sector came together: energy renovation, architecture, materials, energy, lighting, outdoor spaces, construction site techniques, applied research and robotics. This diversity reflects the richness of the professions and approaches being mobilised to help the building sector evolve in Brussels.
From September, the videos will be published gradually on ecobuild.brussels channels. An opportunity to discover these talks in their original format, better understand the issues driving players on the ground, and draw inspiration from their reflections.
