On 1 December 2026, Brussels will host the final seminar of the CircBuild project at the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU). The event will bring together researchers, companies, policymakers and construction professionals to discuss the latest developments in the circular economy for the built environment.
CircBuild (Promoting Circularity and Sustainability for the Construction and Real Estate Sector) is implemented by Tampere University and Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK). The project aims to accelerate the transition towards a more circular and sustainable construction and real estate sector by transferring research knowledge into practice, testing innovative circular solutions, and strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
The programme includes a keynote speech by Member of the European Parliament Aura Salla, discussions on the future Circular Economy Act, perspectives from businesses and researchers, and the presentation of the key results and lessons learned from the CircBuild project.
The seminar offers an excellent networking opportunity for stakeholders interested in circular construction, sustainable real estate, and European innovation initiatives.
