ANTARES – From office to housing

Bloc C of the Antares’ office complex, built in 1991 at Avenue des Pléiades 71, is being transformed into 79 affordable rental units by Inclusio, with architects DDS+ (also member of ecobuild.brussels) and the Thomas and Piron Rénovation company. It has been leased to the Agence Immobilière Sociale de Woluwe Saint Lambert.

The project received the Be Circular 2019 prize for retaining the structure and the existing façades and for the deconstruction and reuse of the reusable materials on site (raised floors, doors, glass walls) by Retrival.

Only the curtain wall sections were demolished to add terraces, thanks to a constructive exchange with URBAN during the urban planning permit process.
