What if light were the most underestimated material in a project?

We often think about space through materials, volumes or colours. Yet without light, none of these elements can truly be perceived.

Light shapes the way we experience spaces. It guides our movements, influences our comfort, highlights architecture, reveals heritage and helps create atmosphere. When lighting is successful, it feels natural. When it is not, it immediately becomes noticeable.

During Pitch It 2026, Fiorenzo Namèche looks back on his journey and on the creation of Light to Light, a lighting design agency developing solutions tailored to uses, places and the architectural ambitions of projects.

Through several projects in Belgium and abroad, he explains the added value of a lighting designer: understanding a place, its uses and its constraints in order to create lighting that is coherent, understated and respectful of its environment. Some of these projects have also received international awards.

This presentation offers a practical insight into a profession that remains relatively unknown, yet whose impact can be felt in every space we inhabit, move through or admire.
