Natural clay plasters, made according to a traditional recipe, were applied in the main yoga studio of The House of Yoga in Ixelles. The work was carried out by ACRUMA in 2023 in collaboration with Maria Glionna (in.habit), with particular attention given to the selection of natural materials and the search for a warm pink colour that characterises the space as a whole.
To address moisture issues, the existing plaster was removed and replaced with a system combining cork insulation fixed with lime and clay-based finishing plasters, allowing the walls to remain vapour permeable.
The clay and crushed brick create a distinctive texture and quality of light, while details such as the rounded corners emphasise the softness of the surfaces.
