The Villas de Ganshoren, a social housing complex home to over one thousand households, is the focus of a project to strengthen the local network of associations in the context of a Neighbourhood Contract. The project is led by the non-profit organisation Fabrik, with the participation of the Frères Poulet and the 7e Gauche collective. The project includes the development of the ground floor of the “cloverleaf towers”, with the production of shelves, workbenches, tables and seating designed on site, as well as murals and billboards. Modular devices and furniture on wheels have been created to maximise the functionality of the spaces while minimising the carbon footprint, using recycled materials (Trespa panels (Rotor), a multiplex, plastic boxes) and a structure made of Belgian larch wood.
SUPERVILLAS is a project carried out by fabrik asbl, Les chantiers battus, Les frères poulets, and 7ᵉ gauche, with the support of the municipality of Ganshoren and Urban.brussels.
