Today, we are presenting a project that touches on the heritage of our city.
After more than 100 years of service, the entrance door of a house in Saint-Gilles had to be replaced. Severely weakened after yet another burglary, the owner made the difficult decision to opt for an identical reproduction of the door, while improving its security, airtightness and connectivity.
Bois Intemporel proudly carried out this work in 2025 and completed it at the beginning of 2026.
Every moulding and every carved detail was carefully reproduced to create a door identical to the previous one.
The stained-glass windows were recovered and restored by Atelier Flores.
The ironwork was also fully recovered. The elements in front of the stained-glass windows were treated again so they can last for many more years.
The wood was supplied by Schmidt, a member of ecobuild.brussels.
