New European Bauhaus : Explore the funding opportunities, become a friend and join the upcoming Festival in Brussels !

The New European Bauhaus is getting shape

The New European Bauhaus (NEB) was launched by President von der Leyen in her 2020 State of the Union address and was co-designed together with thousands of people and organizations across Europe and further beyond.

It is an environmental, economic, and cultural project of the European Commission, aiming to combine design, sustainability, accessibility, affordability, and investment to help deliver the European Green Deal.

The NEB initiative has developed into a vast community of more than 450 official partners, High-Level Round Table members, Contact Points of the national governments, winners and finalists of the New European Bauhaus prizes.

New opportunities to join the NEB community

In order to further strengthen the community a call for Friends of the New European Bauhaus has been launched. It responds to demand from public entities (such as municipalities), political organizations and companies to be involved in a more structured way in the NEB initiative.

The NEB will give access to information on many types of information varying from related funding opportunities to knowledge sharing within the NEB community. For example architects, engineers, urban planners, designers, public servants, companies and citizens are invited to share their experience with regulations related to the built environment and construction sector.

They can do so by participating at a survey which aims to analyse how the regulatory framework on European, national, regional or local level can support the development of New European Bauhaus projects.

Funding overview and festival

An overview and publication of NEB funding opportunities is available on the New European Bauhaus website .

The first NEB Festival will be hosted from 9 to 12 June in Brussels. The festival brings together people from all walks of life to debate and shape a future that is sustainable, inclusive and beautiful. It is a great opportunity meet the NEB community, to network and to exchange ideas on how to make the Green Deal happen.
