Founded in 2005, VLA-Architecture was born from the meeting of two engineer-architects eager to challenge their ideas and develop a shared practice. Since its creation, the firm has carried out projects in both renovation and new construction, in the private and public sectors.
VLA, an acronym for Vive L’Architecture, reflects the energy invested in every project. From furniture to master plans, the agency develops contemporary architecture that is attentive to use and integrated into its environment. Its holistic approach incorporates technical, economic, and regulatory constraints to create generous, efficient spaces that respect their context.
The work relies on close collaboration with specialized partners who share the same environmental vision, transforming ecological constraints into spatial and comfort qualities while reducing primary energy demand.
Today, the team consists of four architects who respond to projects of various scales with quality and responsiveness. The method prioritizes dialogue with clients and spatial research focused on natural light, durability, and an eco-construction approach based on natural, European materials with low embodied energy and, whenever possible, reuse.
The current challenge for the firm is to raise awareness among clients and contractors about this responsible approach.
