PRIMAarchitecture is a Belgian architecture practice founded in 2016 by Martina Grossi and Chloé Priou. Since 2022, the firm has been strengthened by the complementary profiles of Émilie Lutgen and Maxime Lejeune and operates at all scales, from architecture to design.
We advocate a realistic and sensitive architecture, fully aware of the challenges of our time. Our work is based on three core principles:
- constructive simplicity and restraint: carefully considered interventions that reuse existing structures and minimise demolition;
- sustainable and bio-based materials: solid timber (CLT), natural insulation materials, and ecological, recyclable finishes;
- reuse and the circular economy: giving tiles, flooring, doors and radiators a second life, in collaboration with local stakeholders and craftspeople.
We believe in an ambitious low-tech architecture, where bioclimatic design (orientation, spatial organisation and site integration) becomes a genuine lever for comfort and performance.
Preserving, reusing and adapting are integral parts of our methodology, both in Brussels and in the Ardennes, where we advocate a more environmentally respectful approach to construction.
Our ambition is to develop an architecture that combines innovation with restraint, and to demonstrate that sustainability is not synonymous with complexity or additional costs, but rather with intelligence, coherence and quality of life.
