NEY & PARTNERS WOW specialises in structural wood design, expertise and products. Its ambition is to give wood its rightful place in contemporary construction, following the example of exceptional projects currently emerging all over Europe. The office takes its inspiration from its older counterparts in Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, etc., who all understood the importance of specialised wood offices.

More broadly, NEY & PARTNERS WOW is committed to developing a bio-sourced and geo-sourced approach. The use of local/near-site materials not only helps define an architecture that is specific to the area, but also encourages the most efficient possible construction approach, both in terms of material consumption and CO2 impact.

NEY & PARTNERS WOW is the fruit of its founders’ reflections and awareness of the importance of the expert engineer’s skills in the timber and mixed structure process: the right material in the right place. Unlike other traditional materials such as steel and concrete, wood requires specific training that is not generally covered in engineering training. This can lead to negative consequences, such as the choice of less suitable materials or design errors, compromising the safety and durability of the project.

Wood and geo-sourced materials are the materials that inspire them, and they are experiencing recent growth in response to environmental issues and new engineering products. Thanks to their experience and expertise, they are able to implement design principles specifically adapted to wood, providing high-quality structural and architectural solutions.

They provide customised services throughout the project process, from sketch to completion by the contractor, responding to the varied needs of stakeholders and coming up with a wide range of flexible services tailored to each phase of the project. More recently, the office has become involved in the topics of the circular economy, reuse and major refurbishment. The company has offices in Brussels and Namur in Belgium, and more recently opened one in Paris.
