The Cabay woodworking business specialises in the restoration and reproduction of old woodwork including frames, doors, etc.
Our experience enables us to repair old frames to extend their life while maintaining their heritage qualities and improving their waterproofing and thermal and acoustic properties, for example by including a flexible seal in the frame.
We also provide our services for your interior design projects: kitchens, wardrobes, etc. and to build furniture, tables, dressers, etc.
Olivier Cabay is a member of the Union des Artisans du Patrimoine. His approach is that of a craftsman who looks to the traditions of his trade to restore pieces and make a modest contribution to creating tomorrow’s heritage pieces.
Our ecological approach is reflected in the fact that we restore existing pieces rather than replace them when it isn’t absolutely necessary. We always prefer to use certified local woods rather than exotic woods. Our workshop received the Bâtiment Exemplaire 2007 award.
