Lochten & Germeau is a wood and construction products and materials wholesaler. The public limited company has two operations sites, in Schaerbeek and Forest, which address the needs of construction professionals and private individuals.
The company primarily sells wood, including raw and planed wood, composite, plywood and glued-laminated wood. The offering includes beams, cladding, panels, parquet flooring, doors and frames available in local and European species, both hardwood and softwood, and certain exotic woods for some products.
Lochten & Germeau is the leading wood supplier in Brussels. It has been awarded FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) and PEFC certification. The wood panels sold come from sustainably and responsibly managed forests. The company has a system in place to guarantee the traceability of wood from certified sources which meets the label’s strict requirements.
In 2006, Lochten & Germeau opened an eco-materials department which sells a labelled range of more environmentally-friendly materials:
- Thermal, acoustic and fire insulation, for roofing, floors, joists, partitions and exterior walls :
- wood fibre panels ;
- cellulose flakes ;
- linen.
- Environmentally-friendly finishing and maintenance products:
- paints ;
- stains ;
- wood treatment products ;
- oils.
