Les Entreprises Jacques Delens (EJD), provides construction and property development services. The company was created in 1967 and has revenue of nearly €100 million. In 1982, it joined the BESIX Group, a major international player in the construction field.
EJD operates in the public and private sectors in the Brussels region, Walloon Brabant and Flemish Brabant. The company handles the construction, renovation and restoration of office buildings, housing, industrial complexes, and facilities including sports and recreation centres, hospitals, hotels, residences, schools, auditoriums, cinemas and more.
EJD specialises in high-performance buildings (energy, environment, etc.). Several years ago, it decided to invest in an in-house department specialising in energy and sustainable construction. EJD is a frontrunner and has already delivered 21,200 m2 of passive buildings. It has 25,000 m2 of passive buildings in progress and 80,000 m2 of BREEAM-certified buildings.
Les Entreprises Jacques Delens is certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and VCA and has been awarded two “Ecodynamic Enterprise” stars. The company is involved in several national and European research projects.
