The BIOFA factory is located in the German city of Bad Boll and has produced natural paints since 1982. The founder of the company, Werner Hann, launched his business in 1974 as a manufacturer of homoeopathic medicines (WALA) and natural cosmetics (DORITH RENOLDI). This led to the idea of harnessing the healing properties of minerals, plants and animals to benefit human health.
As a pioneer in the field of natural paints, BIOFA champions traditional know-how by combining the use of natural materials with modern production technology. All of the company’s paints are microporous, allow substrates to breath, have anti-static properties and release a pleasant odour. In addition, their dry extracts don’t require special recycling.
