Building for the Future (B4F) is an independent firm which serves the construction sector. It offers assistance and consulting on sustainable construction for new projects and major renovations of existing buildings.
Its main activities include:
- Assistance obtaining environmental certifications such as BREEAM and WELL: feasibility studies; consulting, follow-up and evaluation during the design, execution and post-construction phases; BREEAM AP (Accredited Professional)
- Project Management Assistance: drafting environmental programmes, setting energy goals
- Energy and environmental studies via dynamic thermal simulations: analysis of thermal comfort, natural lighting studies
- Assistance with architectural and technical design to attain “zero-energy building” and “zero-carbon building” objectives
- Life cycle analysis (LCA) of materials using the TOTEM and OneClick LCA tools
- Life cycle costing (LCC)
- Serving as PEB consultant (Brussels) and PEB manager (Wallonia) for service sector and multi-residential projects.
