Assar’s approach is based on a cooperative spirit which makes the delegation of skills highly productive. Even the name of the firm makes this clear immediately: ASSociation d’ARchitectes.
A staff of over a 100 people, which puts the company in the small circle of large Belgian firms, contribute their expertise to a wide range of disciplines. Assar can take on large projects in several sectors and, in particular, jobs which go well beyond simple design.
That’s because today, architecture starts far upstream (feasibility studies, scheduling, etc.) and continues until the doors open.
While Assar’s added value is integrated project management, its strength comes from the way it operates, based on a combination of skills dedicated to certain missions and types of projects.
And to its ongoing concern with including the ecological and environmental dimensions in its projects. With, in the end, a greater capacity to define the message to be implemented in the field and in a given environment and, especially, to make the right choices and stay with them (notably for long-term projects) without being limited by them.
As for its leitmotiv, it is, and remains, the inclusion of the people it builds for. Regardless of the type of space (offices, housing, nursing homes, hospitals, mixed-use projects, etc.).
