These are the values applied by staff at ALTIPLAN°architects. Chosen together within the team, they were drawn up and defined in the presence of all, through multiple sessions of exchange and reflection on the meaning we give to our profession in all its multiple facets. The values therefore illustrate who we really are, and express our shared ambition and the importance we give to our architectural output, as well as to the collaborative design process required throughout the genesis and completion of our projects. They also bear witness to the way in which we experience this collaboration with our clients, our project partner architects and design offices, and other stakeholders and public decision-makers. Defining our values has enabled us to get to know each other better, and to align ourselves with our common goals. Values are also a tool: translated into a frame of reference, they are used to evaluate our day-to-day work, because learning and knowledge have no limits in today’s constantly evolving world, where the challenge is to meet major ecological and societal challenges, and where the importance of the quality of built and unbuilt construction is crucial to preserving our common future. The question of sustainability and the integration of innovations therefore lies right at the heart of our thinking; this is why we have been setting up working groups within our office for several years now, including a SUSTAINABILITY UNIT. This group gathers together all the information relating to sustainable construction, ecology and the environment that we have integrated into our various different projects, as well as information from training courses and conferences, in order to share it and put it into practice in the projects we carry out.
