Fundtruck is coming back to Belgium for its 9th edition

The Fundtruck is a competition for startups in which entrepreneurs pitch their idea in a truck and try to convince investors to finance them. In 2023, it  hits the road again for its 9th edition and will begin its journey in France, in May. It will then travel to Belgium in June for the 4th year. The call for applications is already open and available at this link for companies wishing to participate.

Breaking the codes of investment

This itinerant event is an initiative of the participatory investment platform Sowefund. It aims to support the most promising startups in France and Belgium by giving them the opportunity to meet investors and to democratize entrepreneurship by breaking the codes of the field. Since its first edition in 2015, the Fundtruck has  traveled in 2 countries (including Belgium), 8 regions and 200 cities. 430 startups have pitched in front of  1 250 jury members :  investors, incubators and professionals from the ecosystem.

The Fundtruck is back to Belgium

The Fundtruck will travel to Belgium for the 4th year in a row. In 2019, the french competition expanded to visit its neighbors, and keeps coming back ever since.

This year, it will stop in Leuvens, Namur and Brussel on June 29th and 30th. Startups wishing to participate are invited to apply from March 22nd to June 15th.

The Belgium step is made possible thanks to our local partners : Euroequity, Wallonie Entreprendre and Hub Brussels.

How to participate

The entrepreneurs wishing to compete must fill out the online application form explaining their ambitions and financial needs. After their application is reviewed by the Sowefund analysts team, they may be selected to compete and try to win € 100K in media exposure offered by Mediatransports, the event partner !

There are different steps to the Fundtruck : local steps, regional finals, and the national Great Final, held in the fall in Paris, bringing together finalists from each region.

Great success stories

Since its creation, the competition has proven its success, as many entrepreneurs have raised funds thanks to their participation. Among them are Lunii (the storytelling factory for children), Phénix (solutions to fight against food waste), or Mini Green Power (technology to transform plant residues): great success stories for future candidates.

We hope you will join us for this exciting event, and we look forward to seeing you on the road with Fundtruck !
