Workshop: Low Tech – Building differently: simpler, more sustainable and more resilient

15/09/26

About

citydev.brussels and ecobuild.brussels invite you to a morning dedicated to low-tech, resource-conscious and frugal approaches to architecture and construction.

Organised as part of the citydev.brussels Innovation Committee, this event will explore how buildings can reduce their environmental impact while becoming more resilient, resource-efficient and better adapted to climate change, through expert presentations, testimonials and Belgian and European case studies.

A morning to discover new approaches, share experiences and encourage practices that support a more resource-efficient and resilient construction sector.

Program

Speakers include

  • Corentin Voglaire (MK Engineering), specialist in environmental and energy strategies for buildings
  • Clément Gaillard (Freio), French expert in low-tech design and bioclimatic architecture
  • Andrew Janssens (FTI), engineering consultant involved in the Provincial Administrative Centre of Namur, one of Belgium’s largest office buildings designed with natural ventilation, as well as Greenbizz II, an exemplary environmental performance building.

The morning will be moderated by Matthew Wojcik (Low Tech Liège).
