The Hauts-de-France Region and Lille Metropole are launching a work cycle on the New European Bauhaus and invite you to a first seminar « Designing fruitful cooperation for shaping the New European Bauhaus » which will be held online and in English the 23rd and 24th of February 2022.
This seminar will bring together various actors interested in the New European Bauhaus from the Hauts-de-France Region, as well as actors from other European regions and cities, such as the Free State of Thuringia (GER), the Silesian Voivodeship (PL), the Flanders Region (BE), the Wallonia Region (BE), the Brussels-Capital Region (BE) and Helsinki (FI).
Program :
Wednesday, February 23 : Round tables (2:00 – 5:00 pm)
This first half-day will focus on the initiative and its opportunities, as well as on the presentation of concrete cases of New European Bauhaus projects.
- 2:00-2:30 : Introduction by Xavier Troussard , Head of Unit in charge of the New European Bauhaus at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre
- 2:30-3:40 : Round table discussion on « The integration of New European Bauhaus in the development of public policies at the national and European level”
- 3:50-5:00 : Round table discussion on “New European Bauhaus, an inspiring movement to accelerate the European Green Deal in cities and regions”
Thursday, 24 February : Workshops (9.30 am – 12.30 pm)
Six workshops will bring together participants with similar interests and issues, in order to foster synergy and future cooperation :
The themes of those workshops are the following :
1) Renovation of old degraded neighborhoods
2) Circular construction and renovation
3) Nature based solutions for water issues
4) Micromobilities, multimodality and public spaces
5) How to train in the new European Bauhaus philosophy ?
6) Design as tool for social changes
